A total of 454 acres made up the palace; of that, 344 acres were given to Sri Venkateswara Rea Estate Enterprises Private Limited and 110 acres to Chamundi Hotels Private Limited. But how these firms came into possession is still a mystery because they weren't even formed in 1970; as a result, Srikanata Datta Narsimharaja Wadiyer, the son of the Maharaja, filed a civil lawsuit calling the transaction fraudulent.
